Where hip-hop meets reggae, where jazz is played with dirty hands, where a Cuban line meets an Aussie rule, where nothing seems in place but sounds like many places played in one earthy chord.
This is the island where The Cat Empire was born.

The Cat Empire are celebrating the 10th anniversary since their first show in Melbourne way back in May 2001!
Boasting they are “the youngest Aussie band to turn 10 years old” is more than fair. In such a hard industry, were many don’t survive, they have more than thrived, they have kicked absolute @rse!
Gigs across the country
Celebrating in style – they want to see as many of their fans as possible at a range of live shows around the country!
The Cat Empire are revisiting venues they played in the early days, through to now. From the small jazz clubs, crazy late night party rooms, to the band room pubs, concert halls and theatres. They are doing a a week-long venue crawl of each city, starting with Adelaide, Melboure and Sydney.
Plus, they’re also playing at both of the Blues ‘n’ Roots Music Festivals – West Coast Blues Fest (17 Apr) & East Coast Blues Fest (24 Apr).
