Music festival: Ripe Noosa 2010

Music and nature combined
Coming up at the end of this month, we have tickets to Ripe Noosa – a music festival up in the Noosa hills.
From the website:
Dig your roots deep and get ready to party again in 2010. Watch the sun setting through the valley as you kick up your heels to the choruses of your favourite bands, then groove on into the night to the sounds of RIPE.
Nestled in amongst the stunning surrounds of the Sunshine Coast Hinterlands, the House With No Steps fields once again provide the perfect fertiliser for RIPE to grow and expand. Grassy fields completely surrounded by natures finest, we couldn’t think of a better place to spend a May Saturday!”
Line Up
Being only their 2nd year, I’m not sure at all what to expect, but the line-up is pretty damn good. Spread over 3 stages, with loads of food stalls and markets to apparently keep us happy.
Headliners -The Cat Empire, will play alongside Grinspoon, You Am I, Birds of Tokyo, British India, Operator Please, Urthboy, The Funkoars, Butterfingers, Washington – and lots more.
And what better way to celebrate my birthday (actually, tickets were a birthday present) than getting jiggy with it.
Live music, in the hinterland…
I’ll reserve judgement, but last year’s looks like fun. BRING IT ON!
