What’s making me dance in the loungeroom this week? Well, other than the Unearthed winners. It’s Friday after all – I felt like something upbeat to get the weekend started.

Now, I love Aussie Hip Hop. And I pretty much love anything Elefant Traks.

Hailing from there, Ozi Batla, of both The Herd and Astronomy Class fame, has released his first solo album, Wild Colonial.

Fans will hear lots of singing on his new album. Ozi explains:

The Herd shows involve quite a lot of singing and some of the Astronomy Class tracks.”

“…I really enjoy it (signing) and the contrast between rap lyrics and melodic stuff is one of my favourite aspects of hip hop.”
