JBT April Uprising Album & Tour

The latest offering from the newly formed JB Trio April Uprising debuted at number 1 on the ARIA charts back in April when it was released, but that’s not unusual for a JBT album.

The story behind this album is nothing short of amazing! The name, April Uprising, came from Johns ancestry discovery for the ‘Who Do You Think You Are’ TV series.

The April Uprising Tour will be supporting The Wilderness Society, The Australian Conservation Foundation and Oxfam’s Close the Gap Campaign. The John Butler Trio announce their April Uprising tour will be a truly carbon neutral tour.”

He traced the Butler name through generations of hardship to a matriarch who sang for her survival and follows his Bulgarian ancestry to a forebear caught up in a violent revolt called the April Uprising.

They are also touring extensively through Aus and NZ, kicking off in Freo on 27 August, being supported by the wonderful Blue King Brown.
